Interesting post. I'm a little concerned that you give short-shrift to
the problems
of geolocation accuracy <http://whatismyipaddress.com/geolocation-accuracy>,
which is problematic even to the city
<https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip2-city-database-accuracy> for many reasons
<https://www.ccsl.carleton.ca/~jamuir/papers/TR-06-05.pdf>. Having talked
people off the cliff of saying the GeoIP results told them exactly where
users are, I think it's important to heavily caveat the use of GeoIP,
particularly when writing for an audience that may include people without
the technical frame of reference to understand the limitations.
