Microsoft have a protocol, they are soon to submit to a standards
body, called OData.

Its purpose is data integration.

I don't understand it technically yet. Apparently it does push and
pull. It's REST, using HTTP, ATOM and JSON.

So on the face of it might be exactly what we need... Would be much
easier to back a standard a corporate is putting the work into, if it
is suitable.

Anyone know anything about it, or fancy investigating it?
