Unfortunately, strictly one organization at the moment. We still need a workable way of grouping together datasets (that isn’t a group).

I think getting more people onto the org would be v.helpful in order to manage the lodcloud datasets - not that I think there’s a huge amount that needs doing atm.

In the group, most (but not all) of the dataset creation and editing was done by the people who published the dataset. So there were lots of people who would just edit their one or two datasets. Is this kind of usage compatible with the organization model?

We may open up the Global group at some point (which has lots of group-less datasets and the remaining spam) so that anyone can post to it, but probably subject to some form of workflow, check of first post, that sort of thing.

I think it is worth having your own org if you think it is really important that you have control over a limited set of people’s ability to add datasets. I suspect lodcloud is likely to be one or two admins and lots of members.

Do you want to create Datahub organizations for all the real organizations publishing these datasets? Who would run/manage these organizations then?
>>
>> Ideally people would claim them and want them moved somewhere else, but a lot of datasets have been created and don’t need any maintenance, they can be left in the Global org, their /dataset/* url will still work. I think the amount of spam is definitely at a more manageable level, but it would be helpful if others were admins of Global so that they can help move things if people request it.
