This is a new, very low-traffic mailing list for occasional (monthly
or bi-monthly) updates of new developements on The Data Hub
(thedatahub.org). You are being subscribed because you're registered

*** Recent news ***

The DataHub has continued to incorporate developments from CKAN, the
software that runs it. There's been quite a lot of progress recently;
if you haven't used The DataHub lately, head on over and take a look.
Recent developments include:

* The Datahub was upgraded to CKAN 1.5 in November and CKAN 1.5.1 last month.

* CKAN's QA extension has gone live on The DataHub. (It takes
advantage of background tasks which were new in CKAN 1.5.) This
displays a score for each dataset according to Tim Berners' Lee's
"Five Stars of Open Data", as well as keeping track of broken links.

* There have been big improvements to User pages. These now show a
count and list of your datasets and edits, and even a user picture if
you are using Gravatar.

In addition, of course, there have been many new and interesting
datasets; there are currently over 3100 datasets on The Datahub. If
you add or maintain a particularly interesting dataset there, perhaps
you'd like to write us a blog post about it?
