With regards to the RSS the behaviour of that page is entirely controlled by the users browser.

We are not asking for changing the rendering of the RSS, but of the window where I as an ODP user will subscribe to an RSS. In my understanding this is still within the remit of the CMS. See http://odp.tenforce.com/en/data/feeds/group/estat.atom?

Norbert's observation on home laptop that he will try to reproduce and send you screenshot:
•  Both for Top Publishers and Recent Updates there is no space between the Publisher's name and the brackets of the number of datasets. Likewise between the title of the latest update and the string "was updated" there is a missing space. The same problem is also in the search list. Moreover the Search in Recent updates also merges Titles and description, and descriptions are partly in bold.
