[epsi-coord] Rotterdam is ok! Fwd: ePSI platform conference - revised and updated program

EC ok'd Rotterdam and 16 March for the conference!

See a few additional remarks below, for us to tackle next week.

I would like to start communicating the conference next week as well.
With only three months to go, we need to get moving on external
communications.

I intend to send out an e-mail to our mailing list for a) PSI Directive
review, b) our topic reports c) the conference on Tuesday morning.

thanks for your revised proposal and clarifications.

You can go-ahead with the 16th March date in Rotterdam, but look forward to
seeing a strong non Dutch presence list in the meeting.

As per the content of the programme we would still need a slot to a)
present the revised Commission Directive proposal followed by a panel to
discuss the proposed changes, and b) within the mini session we would like
that the topic of re-use of cultural content (Europeana) is also
discussed.Please provide us with a revised programme shortly

As per the programme itself we still have some difficulties as to how the
mini session/carrousel will be organised, maybe it would be worthwhile
clarifying it in the programme, and allocating appropriate
time/logistics so that attendants can move  from one room to another.

In conformity with your request, we:****

**1.       **Put more focus to the overriding theme and aims of the
Conference.****

**2.       **Made the program and setting as concrete as possible (in this
stage) adding names and topics and inserting a detailed program. As you
will see, we trimmed it and dropped some of the ‘wilder’ ideas (like the
‘PSI Parliament’ and the ‘Ask an Expert’), but maintained and fortified the
networking parts of the Conference, putting more thoughts and substance
into ‘what to take away from the Conference’.****

**3.       **Reserved 30 minutes in the plenary allowing you (or your
colleagues) to announce the launch of the Thematic Network on PSI standards
(also allowing participants to start discussing this during the networking
part of the Conference and discuss and plan for submission of a bid)****

**4.       **Substantiated the sound basis and logic of holding the
Conference in Rotterdam (also taking into account the logistical
requirements connected to the form of the Conference and transport aspects
– you can get from Schiphol Airport to Rotterdam Airport in 26 minutes)****

**5.       **Made an assessment of the ‘foreign’ (non Dutch) participants
anticipated to attend the Conference (over one hundred people).****

can continue and intensify our efforts to organize the event, also allowing
us to take further concrete actions on venue and logistics.****
