Hi Ton,

Great, thanks!

As for the '50 cases' that we mentioned in the proposal and that the Commission seems to intend to actually count, I think it might be a good idea to also include cases that never actually made it into a courtroom, such as irail, the Belgian Meteoservices case, etc...

Best regards,
Katleen

Marc, Katleen,

as you both form our 'legal branch', I think this may be something for you to follow up:

At Hack de Overheid I talked to the guys of irail.be<http://irail.be> and they mentioned both a German courtcase as well as a French one on citizens/orgs re-using train schedule data from the publicly held transport companies. I've googled around and found this:

In Germany there is a court case around deinbus.de<http://deinbus.de>
According to info here http://deinbus.de/klage/?frontend=d60d748feebe4bbb3d94cefc77201c90 the courts in Frankfurt will announce judgment on April 20th.
I am not totally sure if this case is about re-use aspects or if Deutsche Bahn has other grievances they are bringing to court.

The French case has to do with the RATP http://www.ratp.fr/ but couldn't find more quickly. I have asked Pieter Colpaert of irail.be<http://irail.be> if he can provide a pointer. Will let you know when I hear more.

best,

Ton
