Apparantly the PSI Scoreboard document meets with approval of Juan. He
asked us to remove one paragraph (saying we already collected the data)
today as the only change.

So let's see what feedback will come from the Member States in the coming
few weeks.

best,
Ton

How are the data sourced?
*

The data to establish the scores on the various indicators are gathered
using a

combination of internet research and input from individual sources ‘on the
ground’

in the various Member States, that are a part of the ePSI Platform network
(‘crowd

sourcing’). The first round of data collection was performed in January and
February ** ****

** **2012 and, after finalisation and launch, the ePSI team intends to
update the SB on a****

** **

monthly basis (based on data received through crowd sourcing in the previous
****

** **

month).****

 Dear Juan,

Please find attached the explanatory memorandum on the ePSI Platform PSI
Scoreboard.

 FYI
Two points of feedback we received that we have not as yet incorporated,
but which may be done over time:
a) to use additional indicators on actual re-use of PSI (such as number of
data downloads, published apps, etc.)
b) to track actual availability for re-use of a number of 'high value' data
sets

Both these two points of feedback would require more thought as to how
measurement can be done in a way that is clear cut and adequately sourced.
We do think in time this is of interest. Already we have incorporated
indicators that provide insight in 'on the ground' activities apart from
policy measures, and which are more indicative of the maturity of the
re-use community, and not as such within the scope of control of a MS. As
PSI re-use matures across Europe more such 'maturity' indicators may be
opportune to incorporate.

 best regards,

 Ton Zijlstra
