Hi Guys,
I am sorry for sending so many mails today but promise this will be the last one for today.
I have reviewed and made some changes to the list of speakers to invite. Basically I changed one name and assigned some speakers to me, if you agree.
For "re-use of CHI - addressing the business case" I have some questions:
1. The planning document states:
EC representative Marc
Europeana - Vanessa Proudman or Davis Haskiya Ton
Dirk Houtgraaf Ton
Open Glam Daniel
CHI - re-user (Berlitz, Lonely Planet) Daniel > ?
Question: I don't know Dirk Houtgraaf so who would be a good complementation / counterpart for him?
I think this needs more thought. I did not meant to take the last one. I have not idea how to contact them.
2. I have send the below suggestions some days ago. I think the mentioned
- Harry Verwayen * see http://www.businessmodelalchemist.com/tag/harry-verwayen
- Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum from 'Open Images'
... are a good choice. What do people think?
However I am ready to send out invitations tomorrow, but I have not heard any feedback on my draft invitation letter. You can find it in the drop box under Conference 2012/marketing/ or attached
Please review and comment until tomorrow noon. After that I will use the draft as invitation letter.

> If you want some more technical talk, ask David Haskiya. He is into the Europeana API and product development. If you want to focus more on the business aspect for institutions, you could ask Harry Verwayen. I've worked with him and he can also give a nice presentation together with the Osterwalder canvas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Model_Canvas)
> Other institutions to consider are the National Archive in Den Hague, which is not that far from Rotterdam. I've heard however that they are not as active anymore as they used to be. or Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum from 'Open Images' (http://www.openimages.eu/). Maarten Brinkerink or Johan Oomen are the right persons for this.
> I am not sure if it will work out, but you could always try to ask somebody from the Rijksmuseum, which has opened a part of their collection which opencultuurdata.nl (with Alper) has used in their hackathon. They have an interesting case study called 'the problem of the yellow milkmaid' (http://version1.europeana.eu/web/europeana-project/whitepapers/) co-authored by Harry Verwayen. It is however more than a year old, so maybe everybody has already heard this presentation.

>> One further group to consider might be Wikimedia (although you probably have that covered!). I say that because there are strong arguments for the case that openness with respect to digital copies of images encourages access to your site through Wikipedia entries.
