[euopendata] Promoting reuse of government data?

Hi all,

The Open Knowledge Foundation is currently working with the Open
Society Institute to research open government data initiatives around
the world [1].

Part of this research is about steps that public bodies can take to
actively promote the reuse of public data -- for example through
things like competitions, events (unconferences, hackdays, ...),
having contact between government representatives and communities of
reusers, and so on.

Do any of you know of any material (reports, strategy documents,
statistics, anecdotal evidence, ...) about the impact of government
initiatives encouraging the public to reuse official datasets?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
