I was just about to look for some datasets on the EU data portal, and faced the message the "Website is coming soon". I clearly recall using the website quite recently and showing examples of datasets to students I teach. Does anybody know the reason for this offline state?

As an alternative I would use the EU election results on a NUTS 3 level of detail in the European Election Database (http://www.nsd.uib.no/european_election_database/). I could not find any licence info anywhere. I'd gather such results are public domain, but I'd prefer some kind of statement. The corresponding usual stats data (unemployment rate, level of education, average income) should be available on Eurostat.
