Just to let everyone know, it looks like we're doing very well on EU
FP7 bid - thanks to Sören Auer!

Specifically we are currently 3rd best project, and they usually fund
2-4 projects!

Dear LOD2 partners,

As expected *we were today invited to the hearings* on 15th on
January. Please see the attached invitation and in particular the
specific questions (on page 3), which we have to respond to during the
meeting.

We have now to decide who are the three representatives besides the
coordinator (me). I would suggest we should aim to select people
representing the different facets of LOD2. I would definitely include:

* Martin Kersten, since he is a senior researcher, scientific manager
for LOD2, with a excellent long-term track record in database research
and well qualified to answer the database related questions (e.g. q
10)

* Some Exalead representative (e.g. Kristine Kirchner or Gregory
Grefenstette) since they represent a key LOD2 use case and could
convincingly respond to the market and exploitation related questions.

For the third representative I'm not sure yet - could be good to have
somebody experienced with hearings, another representative from the
use cases (i.e. two questions are related to the eGov use case) or
from the LOD RTD community.

For the hearing we will have to prepare a 40min presentation, where we
address the evaluators questions and introduce the project for all
panel members.

I meanwhile heard, that we are the 3rd ranked IP project. 2-4 IPs will
be funded. That only two will be funded is very unlikely (given the
minimum budget of 31M€), hence it looks like we "only" have to defend
our current position ;-)
