Hi, this is my first post to this list, but Ive been a subscriber for 
some time already.

This post is probably mostly of interest to us Europeans. The Commission 
has published today a call for proposals to the eContentplus" programme. 
The budget is ? 149 million and they expect proposals for, among few 
others, development of geographic content. The website 
http://europa.eu.int/econtentplus says that "development has been slow" 
there. Everybody may freely guess and hypothesize why that's the case in 
Europe. But anyway, there's money available now. The deadline for the 
proposals is 24 November 2005, 17:00 Luxembourg time.
