[Getthedata-discuss] Shutting down get the data and migrating to stackexchange (?) - RFC

Hi Folks,

I've been seeing increasing amounts of spam on Get the Data (while
we've stopped spamming of the Q&A I'm seeing 30 spam member sign ups a
day).

I think this experiment has been pretty successful but I'm wondering
if it would be worth trying to move Get the Data to a Stack Exchange
site. I note there is already a proposal which could be appropriate
here:
