Don't forget about the standard itself. Don't think that because a
standard is in effect this is a 'good' standard. Reading NeTEx, which
probably will be the standard a lot of changes have to be made so that
the standard is in fact semantically open, and usable.

Yes, everyone can rewrite something to something different, this is
not the point. One of the major focusses should actually be getting
academics involved in the design process, and don't make it a private
reinventing the wheel effort.
