Rufus, John,
I see that anonymous rsync doesn't seem to work at the moment -
did that get broken in the upgrade possibly?
$ rsync knowledgeforge.net::knowledgeforge/
@ERROR: chroot failed
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1522) [receiver=3.0.5]
$ rsync --bwlimit=20 --recursive knowledgeforge.net::knowledgeforge/ukparse local-ukparse
@ERROR: chroot failed
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1522) [receiver=3.0.5]
Rufus, my apologies - I'm afraid I realise that I didn't reply
to your previous helpful response:
http://lists.okfn.org/pipermail/knowledgeforge-user/2008-October/000039.html
In the end, I did change my update scripts to do particular
subdirectories individually, which successfully worked around
the problem with long updates.
Unfortunately, I still find that the connection is lost during
"git svn" updates, sometimes after it has been running for for
half an hour, sometimes up to an hour. What are Apache's
timeout and keepalive timeout settings set to?
many thanks for your help,
mark
