Dear all - happy to announce 1st version of EDF2014 programme:

The Organising Committee of the European Data Forum is proud to announce
the *first version of the EDF2014 programme* - see:

Beside an EDF2014 welcome session by *Neelie Kroes* (Vice President of the
European Commission, in charge of the Digital Agenda), *Kyriakos
Mitsotakis* (Minister
of Administrative Reform and e-Governance), *Georgios Kaminis* (Mayor of
Athens) and *Christos Vasilakos* (General Secretary for Research and
Technology) there are keynote talks by *Stefan Wrobel* (Institute Director:
Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS
& Big Data Lead Bitkom) on Big Data and the European Data Economy, by *Evy
Christofilopoulou* (Deputy Minister of Administrative Reform and
e-Governance) about Data in Public Administration in Greece and *Ralf-Peter
Schaefer* (Traffic Director of TomTom) about data management at TomTom - in
the EDF2014 programme.

In total* 8 sessions* with* over 30 talks* will take place in the 2 days of
EDF2014 on 19th and 20th of march 2014 in Athens, Greece - covering topics
like: *Big Data Use Case Scenarios*, *Open Data across Europe*, *Data
Challenges* (roadmaps, languages, privacy, personal data et al) and the *Value
of Data in Industry and in Public Administration* beside others!

Furthermore EDF2014 provides* 2 panel discussions* and *several networking
sessions* to the European Data community - last but not least *a 2 hours
poster session* with ~ 30 project- and product presentations AND *a 2 day
exhibition area* with ~ 25 exhibitors rounds out the programme of EDF2014!
