[[ This is a one-off message to those who participated in the Open Data Challenge 2011, we will not email you again on this list and we have not shared your details with anyone. The following message is from one the Challenge's lead sponsors, Talis. ]]

Hello,

One of the many achievements of our 2011 Open Data Challenge was to raise the profile across Europe of Open Data in general, and the potential of Linked Data in particular.

Richard Wallis, judge of the Award for Linked Data sponsored by Talis, was impressed by the number of challenge entries that qualified for consideration in the category - "It was great to see such recognition that publishing your data, in a way that easily links with other Open Data, greatly increases it's usefulness and value"

For those that would like to find out more about Linked Data and it's potential, Talis have kindly identified some upcoming events you may find useful:

The Web's Influence On Your Data - Executive Briefing - London September 20th
Semantic Tech and Business Conference - London September 26th-27th
Data on the Web: The Benefits of Linking - London October 19th
Data on the Web: The Benefits of Linking - Birmingham November 10th
Online Information Conference 2011 - London November 29th - December 1st
