You are warmly invited to Humanities on the Web: Is it working?

 Date: Thursday, 19 March 2009
Time: 9:30 – 16:00

Location: Tsuzuki Lecture Theatre, St Anne's College, Woodstock Road,
Oxford OX2 6HS, UK

The web now contains the results of many initiatives to digitise
resources for the humanities but how successful are these initiatives
and how much information has now been archived online? This workshop
discusses these issues, centred on two themes derived from recent
projects.

This one day event will present the results of two projects in the
context of general panel discussions about the role of digitisation in
the practices of humanities researchers now and in the future.

Full details are provided in the attached PDF, and at the event website:

http://www.oii.ox.ac.uk/events/details.cfm?id=238

To register, please email events at oii.ox.ac.uk (name, email address,
affiliation, and any dietary requirements for lunch).

There is no cost if you register before 1 March 2009. People
registering on or after 1 March will be charged a late registration
fee of £25.

Please feel free to forward this announcement to any interested
individuals or mailing lists.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Kind Regards,

Dr. Kathryn Eccles and Dr. Eric Meyer
