Hello Pavel!
First of all, welcome again to the Open Knowledge International! :) I'd
like to suggest a conversation with the OKI chapters lead. For me it's
important to hear your plans and thought for Open Knowledge and also about
the collaboration with the chapters around the world. Mainly when from our
9 chapters, only Brazil is out of Europe. I also want to hear your thoughts
on this and if there will be perspectives to improve this scenario.
Within the Wikimedia world (like minded movement), which you are also
familiar with, we have several challenges to have more formal entities in
the global south as compared to the global north. This is widely discussed
and we still lack ways to have more support from the international
organization which leads this movement. I know Open Knowledge has a
different approach, but I believe the challenges are similar, so that is
one of the subjects that interest me most, believing in the importance of
organizations like ours.
Also, maybe we could have a short round of introductions for you in
conference also to you know what the chapters have been doing around the
world. (I also would like to hear my colleagues! ;)
What do you think? Best wishes and I'm thrilled to see new things ahead!
Tom
