In the Lab for Open Innovation in Science (LOIS), scientists can learn about and experiment with principles and methods of Open Innovation along the entire scientific research process from generating research questions to eventually translating scientific knowledge into innovation.

Due to the exceptionally positive response from the science community the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft is offering its professional development again next year. Join us for a webinar to learn more about LOIS and find out how applying Open Innovation principles and methods can improve the novelty and impact of scientific research!

What: The webinar will be hosted by Marion Poetz, academic director of LOIS, innovation professor at Copenhagen Business School and scientific director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft’s Open Innovation in Science Research and Competence Center (OIS Center).

After a brief introduction of the training that enables scientists to integrate OIS practices into their day-to-day work LOIS 2016/17 alumna Andrea Olschewski, Vice-President for Medicine at Johannes Kepler University Linz, will share her experience. In a fireside chat challenges and opportunities of applying Open Innovation principles and methods in scientific research processes will be discussed. There will be an opportunity to ask questions throughout the webinar which will be answered by the LOIS Program Manager and a LOIS 2016/17 alumnus; additionally there is a live Q&A session in the second half of the webinar.
