Hi everyone,
Just a quick message to note that a new blog post is up at http://au.okfn.org/2012/05/25/new-australian-privacy-principles-the-world-bank-open-access-event-materials-and-other-news/. It discusses the new Australian Privacy Principles as well as global news such as the World Bank Open Access event and the European Commission’s announcement regarding the Google investigation.
Our last blog post<http://au.okfn.org/2012/05/17/govhack-2012-crowdsourced-crisis-mapping-and-other-news/> contained updates on topics such as GovHack 2012 and crowdsourced crisis mapping, while the post before that<http://au.okfn.org/2012/05/09/welcome-to-the-open-knowledge-australia-blog/> looked at news such as the appointment of Jimmy Wales (co-founder of Wikipedia) as an adviser to the UK Government and the Open Government Partnership conference. Feel free to let us know if you would like to contribute a blog post or if there are relevant events, activities, or initiatives you feel should be discussed.
You can also follow us on our new twitter account @OKFN_AU.
Thanks again for your interest in Open Knowledge Foundation Australia.
