It's the nerds/geeks that will bring it to the masses. The geeks also 
understand the difference between personal and open data and security of 
data. They also seem to grok the difference between open and enterprise, 
where enterprise want to mine and close data for profit....

People are rightly concerned about how data is used and ethics, open 
data, where we know what data is available as opposed to hidden data, 
will go along way to alleviate concerns of people. So Data to the 
People, let them express concerns, and be Open about what data is collected.
