I just posted this article:

For those who are considering a submission for the private-public request
for ideas the post might help you clarify some of the ideas which I think
the Government is trying to string together.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that 'big data' might sometimes be the
Government's way of 'not' saying 'open data' ;)
