Hi All,

I am doing some collaborative work with the Open Data Institute Queensland and am interested in the information provided by this group.

As background, I was responsible for managing the Australian Government’s first open data policy, although it wasn’t call ed Open Data.  the Policy was the Australian Government Policy on Spatial Data Access and Pricing.  I was responsible for promoting and developing open data capabilities in government between 2007 and 2011.  Since then I have worked another open data area including in New Zealand in relation to the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery project.

I look forward to hearing about and contributing to the open data debate.
