Hi Maia, 
Datalicious put out Australian postcodes with lat/lon years ago at http://blog.datalicious.com/data-visualisation/free-download-all-australian-postcodes-geocod/
It's quite good although some of the co-ordinates vary slightly from Google's. Not enough to be a real problem though. It's never bothered me anyway.

Try searching Google Fusion Tables as well. There's multiple files with Australian postcodes.
