Dear list,
Just a kind reminder, tomorrow we will have some workshops that might interest you at Drupalcamp Ghent <http://ghent2014.drupalcamp.be/drupalcamp> tomorrow. It’s free and we would like to invite everyone who wants to turn their open data idea into a viable business. IT’S FREE!
In the morning from 9:30 until 10:20 will have a ‘Making money with Open Data <http://ghent2014.drupalcamp.be/sessions/making-money-open-data>’ presentation, talking about business models that are Open Data friendly and if possible Open Source friendly. If you want to know more about this, let us know.
In the afternoon we’ll have some practical workshops with excellent speakers. Toon Vanagt, Apps for Europe finalist with data.be <https://data.be/> will give a how to pitch session.
Thimo Thoeye and Mathias Van Compernolle will give a co-creation session on business modelling and business pitching. It’s your chance to experience how you can pitch to an investor and what the things are to take into account.
In the end of the day you will have a good idea on how to match a decent business model to your open data idea.
Those who participated and those who already have an open data start up pitch that are looking for investors can join us at the Opening-Up conference <http://www.opening-up.eu/content/final-conference>.
During Opening-Up we’ll have a business lounge where you can pitch your business idea and get the chance to pitch your idea during Future Everything festival in Manchester early next year.
We hope to see you there tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Pieter-Jan
