[okfn-be] Next Money Trail Deadline: 30 September 2018

Mixed teams of African, Asian and/or European journalists can apply for the Money Trail grants to investigate cross-border illicit financial flows, tax abuse and corruption in Africa, Asia and Europe. 

For who?
Intercontinental journalist teams consisting of at least one African, one Asian and/or one European journalist can apply.  

When?
Deadline 30 September. The next one is on 15 November.  

Good to know:

- Projects will be selected by an independent, anonymous jury of four people with ample experience in investigative journalism in Africa, Asia and Europe.
- In order to be eligible for application, the teams have to ensure that their story will be published in at least two continents. Therefore, during the application procedure they will be asked to upload letters of intent for publication from media organisations in at least two continents.
- #MoneyTrail supports costs related to journalistic research for all media. This can include travel, translation, access to pay-databases or simply time to research. The teams will have to draw a budget of the overall costs of their investigative project.

- Journalists who have investigative ideas but no team members in the other continents can get assistance from us. 
- All applications must be submitted in English.
