En el marco del proyecto *Datos Abiertos para Políticas Públicas en América
Latina y el Caribe (OD4D)*, W3C Brasil lanzó un portal sobre Datos Abiertos
en America Latina (*http://www.od4d.org/pt/* <http://www.od4d.org/pt/>). Fruto
de un proyecto creado en asociación con CEPAL y con el apoyo del Centro
Internacional de Investigación y Desarrollo de Canadá (IDRC), el sitio web
fue inaugurado este miércoles durante el evento “Seminario Internacional:
Plan Regional eLAC2015 y el avance de las políticas digitales en la región”*
*organizado por el proyecto CEPAL @LIS2 <http://www.cepal.org/socinfo> en
Ecuador. El objetivo de la creación del portal OD4D es permitir el
seguimiento del proyecto y la evolución del debate sobre datos abiertos a
nivel regional y global.

W3C Brazil has launched an Open Data Portal for Latin America and the
Caribbean (http://www.od4d.org/pt/) as part of the *Open Data for Public
Policy Project in Latin America and the Caribbean (OD4D)*. The website was
launched this Wednesday during the "eLAC2015 Regional Plan and the
Advancement of Digital Policies in the Region" international seminar
organized by the ECLAC @LIS2 <http://www.cepal.org/socinfo> project in
Ecuador and is the result of a project created in partnership with the
Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean with support from
the International Development Research Centre in Canada (IDRC). The purpose
of the portal is to allow for the monitoring of both the project and the
evolution of the debate on open data at the regional and global levels.
