I'll be participating in the World Forum for Democracy -
http://bit.ly/worldforum - in Strasbourg, France on November 27-29. I
will also be participating in the "Integration of Foreign Residents"
event On Nov. 27 to highlight our hands-on immigrant integration work
with BeNeighbors.org .

With my trans-atlantic travel already covered, I may be available on
Monday, November 25 and/or the morning of Tuesday, November 26 as well
as Saturday, November 30 for sponsored workshops, events, etc. pretty
much anywhere in Europe. Let's make the most of this opportunity to
connect.

I envision a mix of possible events in one or two European cities:

    1. Neighbours Online Workshop - Inclusive Community Engagement
Online - In-depth two hour workshop (presented in four major U.S.
cities to date)

    2. New Voices and Digital Engagement - A very interactive
roundtable discussion building off a recent PewInternet.org report
with sobering numbers (held in DC and San Francisco to date)

    3. Democracies Online Social - Some of the best exchanges and
connections are made over a pint.

These special in-depth events will need to be sponsored and hosted by
partners who want to invest a wee bit in knowledge exchange.
Sponsorship helps support E-Democracy's crucial non-profit inclusive
online engagement work that generates the lessons we have to share.

If you pass this on to potential local event co-sponsors, these two
recent blog posts on the White House and Knight Foundation websites
provide a fresh and snappy update on what might be shared:

A recent short bio:

Steven Clift is @democracy on Twitter. He launched E-Democracy.org in
1994 as the world's first election information website. His
“government by day, citizen by night” insights were built as leader of
the State of Minnesota's first e-government initiative. He spoke
across 30 countries for over a decade from Estonia to Libya to
Mongolia on open government and civic participation to support
non-partisan, volunteer-powered efforts for inclusive online local
democracy. An Ashoka Fellow, today he is E-Democracy’s Executive
Director. He leads a dedicated team with the BeNeighbors.org effort to
connect all neighbors online (and off) in public life across race and
ethnicity, generations, immigrant and native-born, and more. In 2013,
Steven was named a White House Champion of Change for transformative
civic engagement with open government. He is based Minneapolis,
Minnesota in the United States. He freely shares articles and more
