We will officially launch the first national open  data prize in Spain 
next week

Although official launch will be during next week, draft site for the 
contest is here: http://premio.okfn.es

Initially there will be 4 categories
- Best open data strategy in public administration
- Best transparency based on open data
- Best open science
- Best Open data private initiative

It will be a ceremony on the 24th of February, close to the open data day.
Anybody will be able to propose and to vote candidates, but final 
decision (among the most voted short list) of the winner will be taken 
by a jury of 9 independent people.

Are anybody else organizing something similar?
