The Arts and Humanities Data Service (AHDS) is a UK national service aiding
the discovery, creation and preservation of digital resources in and for
research, teaching and learning in the arts and humanities. Typical
services include providing advice on applications for funding, creating best
practice guides to digitisation, and crucially, providing a safe repository
for archiving digital scholarship. The AHRC has announced that it has
decided to cease funding the AHDS from April 2008.

A petition has been put online requesting the Prime Minister to urge the
AHRC to reconsider this decision. You must be a British citizen or resident
to sign the petition.
