dear all, a few notes on an open response to the consultation on access
to Ordnance Survey geographic data in the UK. (A niche issue for a big
discuss list - apologies)

Am mindful that "consultation" can be a bit of a pointless formal
exercise, decisions already being taken behind the scenes, etc.
So don't want to put too much more time into it.
By this weekend (20-21) this should be finished off and sendable.
The document could be useful as a line-in-the-sand position on open
access to raw data as collected by national mapping agencies, to
circulate on Twitter, etc etc.
For that kind of re-use purpose, probably better to drop the included
consultation questions, and make the rest of the text a bit more narrative.
Would appreciate corrections or re-focusings on the doc.
