Makes sense. Speaking for myself, public's data should be public. Private users and creators of data should have the freedom to make their private data public or keep it private without any censure or judgment from others.
Personally, I want to continue working on trying to convince both the public and private creators of data to make their scientific data public for the sake of public good. The enlightened private enterprises might see benefit in doing so, and open some of their data to public.
