[okfn-discuss] API for candidates of the Irish parliament (Dáil)

To whom it may concern,

Parliamentwatch.org is launching a platform in Ireland, allowing citizens to publicly pose questions to the parlament´s candidates.
Questions and answers are, after they are moderated according to our code of conduct, saved in the online archive and available to the public.

Parliamentwatch strives for more transparency in politics and stronger citizen participation.
In Germany we have already been operating a platform at www.abgeordnetenwatch.de since 2004.

As we want to allow the Irish citizens to ask questions to their members of parliament, we are in need of an API with all the members of the Dáil.
I was wondering whether an API exists that features the candidates of the Irish parliament (the Dáil) and whether anyone could provide me with such an API or knows where I could find it?

For hints or suggestions I would be very grateful.
