[okfn-discuss] Why is there no legal discussion OKF list?

Was this email supposed to be blank?

& would the list be for discussing the legalities of open data, or for
making legal data open? I'm not a lawyer so would refrain from former,
but am interested in the latter.

There are projects to open up the law, such as Recap, opening up PACER:
https://www.recapthelaw.org/
and myriad complaints about the poor state of access to statutes, and
the proprietary databases of LexisNexis & Westlaw.
