Now live at https://snowdrift.tilt.com — our fund-drive to cover legal
costs (and ideally further development costs) to finally get
Snowdrift.coop launched!

Please check it out, spread the word to sympathetic folks, donate, let
us know *any* feedback!

I first announced the site on this list nearly two years ago. Lots of
progress has happened since then. The initial announcement was vague and
unclear because we did not have the concept presentation solid enough
and we didn't want to spread confusion, so I stayed very general.

Now, the site has lots of details making the concept as clear as we can
(although more videos and illustrations and better stats will help
further, and they are in the works).

Snowdrift.coop is a platform where *all* projects must meet the Open
Definition, and the core concept is a matching pledge to encourage us
all to work together and move funding from proprietary culture to free
culture!

The main site is partly working for testing at snowdrift.coop, and we're
continuing to develop as quickly as we can while the fund-drive is going.
