Again - its a shame this didn't work out. The period you sent me
consecutive emails asking for an immediate response corresponded with
a period I was abroad at a workshop and away from email for a few
days.

Wow - this wasn't clear to me at all. I'm sure I had mentioned to you
that OKCon was usually one day, and pointed you to the website, where
this is evident! In any case, OKCon is an informal event with plenty
of open space - and it seems like you are after thousands of euros for
sponsorship, accommodation, and have a pretty fixed programme of usual
suspects. So as you say, perhaps combining might not have worked.
