Came up in a discussion yesterday after the Auckland meeting. Here's a
reference to an *excellent* presentation/introduction on how to use Fabric
to
automatically install, deploy, configure remote hosts.
The slides also include Cuisine, which is a helper library (one .py file) to
ease many of the common tasks in Fabric, as well as Watchdog, to keep an eye
on what/how your machine is doing, and to configure notifications in case of
trouble. (Also has got some nice features to preserve sanity in case e. g. a
ping is slow, so that it should only ring alarm bells if that happens
several
times.)
