Hi everybody and thanks for the welcome
You can see a short presentation of my thesis main idea here [1], and a
longer and boring one here [2]
The idea is try to integrate official geodata and crowdsourcing geodata, to
help Administrations have easily and quickly up to date cartography and,
then encourage these Administrations to open the results of these
integration, so VGI could also take advantage of sharing and integrate the
data.
I am working now with OSM data and Spanish official data, and the idea is
to use OSM to improve updating processes in official data, and then share
these results with the OSM communitiy, thus both datasets could improve
their quality and will keep connected for next cycles.
I am now in the data model integration part, and I´d like to find a
solution for the general integration case (whatever are the datasets to
integrate), and this is why I´m now using ontologies, RDF, R2RML and these
kind of things..but this is another story.

I am also interested in geodata visualizations, and I collaborated in some
projects in this sense. There are some examples in my web [3]. I started my
thesis some months ago, but I have been working for 8 years for companies
and Administrations in the GIS and Cartography sector, this is why I
decided to start my PhD, to try to find some solutions for problems I have
been facing these years.

I´m sorry but I am not a developer, I know about this but not at a
professional level, so maybe I couldn´t help here a lot...
Thanks again and keep in contact!
