i'm not sure this qualifies as a "timeline library" but i'm a happy user of my
own timecloud widget. which you can see a demo of here:

and the code is here:

it's deployed on omnom, my bookmarking service, and serves as the main
navigation widget for your bookmarks.

licensing is MIT+GPLv3.
