We are delighted to invite you to attend the closing panel discussion on
Challenges and Possibilities of Working with Data

May 9, 2015 3pm at d|Bootcamp Karachi <http://karachi.dbootcamp.org/>, the
first ever data bootcamp taking place in the country. As you may already
know, the three day data literacy training taking place May 7-9 is being
hosted by the Center for Excellence in Journalism

Centre for Journalists Knight Fellowship

The panel discussion taking place on the final day of the d|Bootcamp aims
to capstone the course with an energetic discussion and question-and-answer
on work being done around data in Pakistan. The conversation will be
moderated by Khurram Husain, Assistant Editor, Dawn. The panelists are:

   Asif Saeed Memon, Associate Fellow at Sustainable Development Policy
   Institute (SDPI)

   Saman Naz, Data and Evidence Campaign Manager, Alif Ailaan
   -

   Burhan Rasool, Director, Software Engineering, Punjab Information
   Technology Board (PITB), Govt of Punjab
   -

   Fahim Zaman, Dawn GIS and former Administrator Karachi

The panel will take place in the main auditorium of IBA’s City Campus in
Saddar [map

and is open to the public. It will be followed by final presentations given
by the participants of their data driven projects created during the
dBootcamp. The winning teams will receive a cash prize and mentorship to
help them develop and complete their projects.

Please note that the panel will begin promptly at 3pm and conclude at
4:15pm. The final presentations will begin immediately following.
