A FWD from the GOAL mailing list:
Alma Swan just pointed out that it was actually on BBC Radio 4 TWICE
yesterday!
I missed out on the much earlier coverage on the morning news program
'Today' it's about 5 minutes long and features just Mark Walport
Tom: I'm sure we can produce both individual and @ccess responses for the
BBC, hopefully it'll encourage them to cover this issue more.
The BBC picked up the Guardian’s article of Monday (
http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2012/apr/09/frustrated-blogpost-boycott-scientific-journals)
and covered the topic in two interviews yesterday on main news shows.
1. The Wellcome Trust's Mark Walport was interviewed about Open Access on
the BBC's flagship radio news programme, Today, yesterday morning. The
interview is 72 minutes into the programme:

*
2. Prof Stephen Duffy and Graham Taylor (Publishers Association) debated
Open Access on the BBC's early evening radio news programme yesterday. The
interview is 24 minutes into the programme:
