Senior Information Officer

Starting Salary: £26,545

We are looking to recruit a Senior Information Officer to work within the Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) team in the Corporate Affairs Group. The position is full-time and open-ended.

The KIM team develops policies and provides advice and operational support in relation to MRC knowledge and information management. The team's activities aim to promote MRC's research and policy achievements and outcomes, as well as meeting public accountability requirements and supporting wider agenda for transparency and openness.

The Senior Information Officer will support the development and implementation of information related policies (such as Open Access), lead on responses to a wide range of requests from external organisations and individuals, and co-ordinate strategic projects aimed at improving knowledge and information management.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in an information/science policy environment, experience of information research and analysis and of communicating these findings via briefings, presentations and report writing.
