Hi Friends,

Applications to attend OpenCon 2015 in Brussels, Belgium on November 14-16
close in just over a day! Students and early career academic professionals
should apply now at www.opencon2015.org/attend. Attendance at OpenCon is by
application only, and there will not be an open registration. The
application form includes the option to request a full or partial travel
scholarship, which will be awarded to most accepted participants who
require them to attend.

Featuring a program of keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and
hackathons, participants will build skills in key areas, network with
diverse attendees from dozens of nations around the world, and engage with
leading speakers. Already confirmed keynote speakers include Patrick Brown
and Micheal Eisen, co-founders of the Public Library of Science (PLOS).
OpenCon alumni will emerge as powerful catalysts supported by a global
network to advance Open Access, Open Data and Open Education.

OpenCon is equal parts conference and community. The meeting in Brussels
serves as the centerpiece of a much larger network to foster initiatives
and collaboration among the next generation across OpenCon’s three issue
areas. Become an active part of the community by joining our discussion
