[Open-access] Live-stream of DST4L - Data Scientist Training for Librarians 2016, Copenhagen, Dec. 7.-9.

Dear international colleagues

Data Scientist Training for Librarians (DST4L) 2016 is rapidly approaching. Next week, a highly motivated group of international librarians, information and data specialists and students, from Denmark, Sweden and Norway will be taking part in the DST4L at Technical University of Denmark - getting their fingers dirty with data!

The programme has been finalized: www.dst4l.info/schedule<http://www.dst4l.info/schedule> and we are looking forward to three challenging and exciting workshop days, where participants will be working with scraping, cleaning, sharing and visualization of data. In other words learning new skills and further developing these together as a community.

If you are interested in the workshop, you can follow the speakers and hands-on sessions over all three days via our live stream:http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dtu-library . The channel is broadcasting from Wednesday the 7thof December, beginning at 10 am, to Friday the 9th of December, closing at 5pm. All the action will be recorded, and webcasts will be made available via DTUs YouTube channel. More information will be sent out about this opportunity at a later date.

We hope that this mail will draw much needed attention to some of the new and needed skills and tasks to be faced now and in the future. Workshops like the DST4L have come to stay.
