Some interesting notes about how historical (and archaeological)
societies can interact with Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource.

Apparently there's an ongoing contact between them and the
Archeologische Werkgroep Valkenburg. Also relevant on this subject is

Needless to say, all content on Wikimedia-operated websites is open.
