All of FRBR applies to anything one may catalog -- which generally  
means recorded knowledge/creation, but can also include museum  
objects. So, yes, articles are included.

The museum folks have incorporated FRBR into a larger model called CIDOC CRM -
and that's what has given us FRBRoo, a large unwieldy beast that makes  
library data look streamlined. [1]
