Sorry to hear that, but I doubt it was disabled users, so don't give
them all the blowback.  As soon as possible, please switch to other
tools which don't insult and discriminate against disabled humans.
The "re" in "reCaptcha" should be taken as short for "replace ASAP"!

I find blogspam.net, shared blacklisting and collaborative moderation
works well to stop most comment spam, but the exact mix/methods vary
from site to site.
