I don't know why they would want to. They've issued FAST as linked data.
JSON would be a step backward, and wouldn't fit into their current
development direction. I think if you want it in JSON you need to
provide that.
Here's a sample record. Note that headings are typed as "topical,
geographic, event, time" and more. There are broader, narrower and
related links. I believe they are doing some links to data sets like
GeoNames.
